evil hypnotist productions is an award-winning film production company based in London.

It all began when we released the short, Mightier, in 2001 which scooped writer/director Paul Williams the Cinemagic Young Filmmaker of the Year award.  Our first feature The Wake was released in 2006, expanding the Evil Hypnotist team and touring the festival circuit.

In 2010 our horror/comedy short The Furred Man was unleashed upon the world to great public and critical acclaim. The short went on an epic festival run, screening at over 40 international Film Festivals and winning 13 awards including Best Lo-budget Short at the London Short Film Festival, Best Sci-Fi/Horror at the Love Your Shorts Film Festival, and Best Horror Short at Dragon*Con. The short went on to screen to a quarter of a million people when it aired on UK television on Channel 4.

Since then we have taken up Sci-Fi London's 48hr Film Challenge to produce the 50s Sci-Fi inspired Red Light and stepped back into horror with 2017’s short Sleep Tight. We also produce music videos and promotional films for such varied companies as children's theatre company Oily Cart and cycle charity Sustrans.

In 2020 we released Frank & Mary, a horror/comedy short starring Roberta Taylor and David Troughton. This was our suburban twist on the classic Frankenstein tale and the film screened at 25 international Film Festivals and won Best Horror/SciFi at the Harrogate Film Festival and Best Under 20 Minutes Short and Best Actor at the Haunted House FearFest.

Evil Hypnotist Productions is a small production company and we believe in collaboration and storytelling. We are now focused on creating our next feature film, working with our international cast and crew to put together something truly unique and special.
